Is it just a waste of time or is time spent wisely?
This is a story about one of my failures, lessons and success.
I often found myself sitting in traffic for 5 hours at a time when I lived in the manic city of London, moving 1 meter every 10 minutes wondering if I'd ever get to where I was going.
Life sometimes feel like that.
London is incredible for many reasons, it's diverse, it never sleeps, and you can have anything, do anything you want at any time you want.
The trouble with that, is that you're always on the go, you never really switch off to recharge.
When I was 19 I started my first business partnership, with my uncle and a man by the name of Demetris Nicolaides. Over the years Demetri became my 3rd father, I learned so much about what it means to take charge, how to apply my innovative nature, and that a mans word is his bond.
Sadly He passed away 2 years ago, not a day goes by that I don't miss him.
I often find myself subconsciously quoting him, when it happens, i always pause and smile.
If you've ever lost anyone close to you, then you know that feeling.
It was an import and distribution center with an eclectic selection of award winning Greek wines.
We had over 80 globally awarded wines and we serviced hundreds of restaurants and hotels all over the country. It was exhilarating and exhausting, most days were 10-14hrs others went to 20-25hrs.
I have to be honest the wine tasting was by far my favorite part of the job!
Have you ever noticed how the taste doesn't matter after the second bottle?
I dedicated 7 years to building this empire; I gave up ALOT to do so because I knew that I didn't want to be working 8hrs a day when I was 40yrs old. I decided there and then that I wanted to retire at latest 40 years old to do something extraordinary with my life, help people in some way, make a difference, I don't know, I just wanted to do something more meaningful and adventurous with my life than slave work.
Why daydream? This is my why;
I was in my early 20s, all my friends were partying and socializing, had gone to uni or were traveling the world finding themselves. I was insanely jealous.
I remember sleepless nights, being at the brink of physical exhaustion, having emotional breakdowns every couple days due to stress, I felt lonely, married to my work and frustrated that I didn't have the time to enjoy my financial success, but you have to do what you have to do, right?!
If I didn't envision and focus myself into my day dream, I would have given up. Simple as that
In 2008 the crisis hit, of course we made some fatal mistakes too, can't blame it all on the crisis, and so, it was the end of an era.
It was ALL worth it though, the lessons I learned would prove invaluable to the rest of my life.
I learned about business, about my limits, more importantly that I don't have any.
That's the illusion we're taught, go to school, get an education, get a good job, have a family and retire.
Seriously!? I love learning but I despise the educational system with a passion.
We're scripturaly taught to dance, think and dream within the marked area.
Imagine what the world would be like, if they taught us to think outside the box, to use our imaginations, that the only limitations we have are those we put on ourselves.
If you don't day dream about what you'd do if you won the lottery: You'll wake up one day when you're 65years old after working for an eternity and wonder where the hell all that time went.
You'll get a retirement fund worth next to nothing and yet you still want to live that amazing lavish lifestyle you were promised you could have once you retired. Yeah right! How?
I think about this every time I see someone much older than me in a really bad financial position because it scares the hell out me. To think that I could be old and not be able to do what I want to, when I want to just because money is my limit, screw that!
Take a minute and think about what your life would be like if you had unlimited amount of money and time.
Where would you travel to first, who would you help, what would you build, what cars and bikes would you have, which country would you choose to live in, what else would you buy!?
Then ask yourself this:
Why can't I have that and who the hell says I can't have that!
Your education, financial situation, where you live or what economy you're in are nothing but excuses, a get away clause for people to justify the lack of dreaming big enough and really giving it their all to make them come to reality.
Those have mastered failure are the ones that have become huge success in this world. Look up stories like Micheal Jordan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone , Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison and many many more..
I don't mean to preach, I just know how scary it feels to know that one day you're going to be old. How time is passing by faster than I would like it to.
The last thing you want to do is look back and regret, anything.
Matt Morris: The author of "The unemployed millionaire" said to me years ago: Make life a daring adventure.
In the past 3 years I've been living in a day dream I created whilst sitting in traffic jams, I've taken over 29 holidays in 3 years and grown on more mental, emotional and financial levels than I would've ever imagined possible.
Just because I day dreamed, found a way, went for it with all my heart and I just expected it to become a reality.
NEVER EVER EVER EVER underestimate the power of day dreaming, and when people think you're crazy and laugh at you when you tell them about your dream, that's when you know you're on the right path! Surround yourself with people that empower you, get rid of those that keep telling you to be realistic. You define your own reality.

Have the courage to chase after your dream whatever they may be, you will fail, learn, grown, smile, cry, and succeed in so many ways. The road to awesome isn't easy but it's freagin worth it ;)
This is how I help others reach their dreams WORLDWIDE TEAMUP ... after you watch the video and want to know how I can help you make it work for you just message me and we'll talk properly.
Much love :)
